Jeff and Krista Parrett met in college, at the University of Buffalo, where they were involved with Campus Crusade for Christ. They are both from Long Island, although their lives didn't converge until they were in college. Jeff was a good kid and grew up going to church every Sunday. It wasn't until high school when a friend explained to him that it wasn't enough to just be a good person, but that he must ask Christ into his life. When he arrived at college, Jeff got involved with Campus Crusade, where he learned how to grow in his relationship with God.

Although Krista grew up in the church, she always viewed God as distant and not interested in her personally. It wasn't until she was a senior in college when a friend explained that God loved her, and wanted to have a relationship with her. Shortly after she asked Jesus into her life. God led her to Campus Crusade, where she got involved with a bible study, and met Jeff.

It was on a summer missions trip north of Afghanistan with Campus Crusade, that Jeff and Krista heard God's call to be in full time missions - and to be with each other. They were married in 1995, and came on staff with Campus Crusade. After serving two years working at Syracuse University, they moved with their first son, Nathan, overseas.

Jeff and Krista have a love for the people of the world who have never heard about Jesus, especially the Muslim people. Jeff and Krista lived and worked overseas for two years, before they welcomed their second son, Carter. Due to a serious heart disorder that Carter was born with, the Parretts moved back to America. God put them back at Syracuse University, where they are currently the Director and Associate Director of Campus Crusade for Christ.

In April 2003, Jeff and Krista gave birth to their third son, Zachary. The Parretts have been married for 10 years and enjoy their three boys, going for long walks, cycling, and hiking. Jeff is a huge sports fan (hockey being his favorite) and Krista loves art, reading and running.

Erik Kinyon

Originally from East Amherst, a suburb of Buffalo, NY. Growing up Erik’s family had, and still has, a strong passion for sports, especially football (Go Bills!!). However, as he grew older he found himself growing more interested in going to church. While he was sophomore in high school Erik was first introduced to the idea of having a personal relationship with Jesus Christ. A year later knowing that without Christ he was nothing and knowing he needed to live for Christ and nothing more, Erik placed his faith and trust in Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior.

Since December of 1998, when Erik began following Christ, he has had the blessing of being involved in a number of different ministries. Erik has led Bible studies on several college campuses in New York, taken missions trips to Yellowstone National Park, and even taugh English and the Bible in Kosovo. Now Erik has the blessing of doing full-time ministry here at Syracuse University.

Erik graduated from the University of Buffalo in 2004 with a degree in Psychology, but while he was college Erik was faced with the decision of what to do with the rest of his life. As time passed by Erik looked at where his joy came from, where he found the passions of his heart, and what he felt would be the best use of the gifts and abilities that the Lord had blessed him with. When all was said and done Erik knew that the Lord had made him in such a way that his heart was formed to see lives changed as college students experience God’s love and forgiveness through a relationship with Jesus Christ.
